Before We List Your Home Consider These Things:
You never get a second chance to make a first impression. Plant some flowers, keep the lawn mowed, paint the front door- these can have great influence on a buyer’s first impression.
A deep cleaning is suggested before you put your home on the market- this often overlooked task can make a huge difference and put the sparkle and shine on first impressions.
Set the Stage to Sell
Step back and look at your house from the buyer’s perspective. People often need room to visualize themselves in your house. Can you de clutter or remove personal items? Renting a storage unit can be helpful while your house is on the market.
As awkward as is it, people will come and look at your house (that’s what we want!). Being flexible with appointments can increase showings. In our experience, we have found it most effective if you aren’t there- people want the liberty to linger or speak openly with their showing agent. We want them to feel comfortable.
